My Journey

I began my beauty journey back in 1999 when overplucked brows were the in thing, thank goodness we now have permanent eye brow tattooing (which I so happen to offer😉).

Lets go back to 1999 where straight from school I went to my local college for 2 years and completed beauty therapy NVQ level 2 and 3 before working part time in a salon 25 miles from home. 

I started out renting a beauty room within my home town of Shrewsbury, from there my mother and I opened Carma Salons bringing with me the clientele I had built up.

We owned Carma Salons for 11 years and had up to 12 fabulous employees, also supplying La Femme products to local technicians.

After having our 2 amazing children we decided it was time to downsize to help with family life, and sold our larger successful salon, we bought a salon in my home village of Bayston Hill and renamed it after my children Violet James Boutique where 'Carlie Salt Beauty' is today. 

I attended collage again at the age of 30 to undergo my teaching qualification and was then given the opportunity in 2016 to become Gemma Lamberts Nail & Beauty educator for The Nail Team.

Then in 2020 I decided to offer Beauty training to Shropshire independently bringing you the best courses I know how, all accredited and insurable via ABT along with my role as Senior Nail Educator for Nail & Beauty Excellence bringing you their fantastic accredited Nail training courses to Shropshire.

Just before lock down I started to enter nail competitions, where I went on to become a multiple award winning nail artist.

I decided I needed something fresh in my life, I never stop! so in 2022 Enrolled on a intensive 4 day course in Permanent Make Up, this then took me further a field into Fine line tattooing, attending many an online course to upskill in this area.

My final attribute ( well maybe final...) to my beauty business I learnt something a little different within the beautiful side of things... Permanent jewellery or as some call it 'welded jewellery' with no fastenings, this inspired the name Clasp-less Jewellery.

As well as the above I am a supplier for a company called Farmasi, a 70 year strong world wide company offering affordable, luxury cosmetic and wellbeing products.

This isn't a job for me, its a passion.
